I was born on a cold, clear November night in Fairbanks Alaska. While my mom counted the minutes at home (me being two weeks overdue), I decided the time was finally right and was born a short 30 minutes later. While the Northern Lights filled the sky, they sped to the hospital and a nurse screamed for a doctor. It was quite the entrance.
I grew up changing my career goals from movie star to oil painter to dancer to therapist and in the end, fortuitously landed on photographer. I've always been drawn to ways I could express myself and communicate with others and photography is an amazing blend of so many things I love. Being a photographer serves my curiosity. It allows me to ask, look, stare, get close and get closer. Without question it's my dream career. I love the personal access being a photographer affords and this access into others life's has definitely changed my own.
I have lived and worked in Salt Lake, New York City, Newport Beach and Los Angeles where I now live with my Husband in a little blue house. I have travelled with camera in tow to 22 countries & plan to see the world in it's entirety. Besides cameras and computers I also enjoy color, 80 degree weather, cooking over fires, outer-space, confronting the issues & chocolate milkshakes right before bed (that boy I live with wants me to clarify, it's not really a milkshake...It's just milk poured over ice cream). I also spend a fair amount of time obsessing over my 3 year old nephew. He gives out fake tickets for being too cute and sometimes for being too fast.
Call, email, visit. Join me in my obsession.
